XIAOMI 12 PRO IN A STRESS TEST DEMONSTRATES THE FLAWS OF THE SNAPDRAGON 8 GEN 1
Snadragon 8 Gen 1
The Snadragon 8 Gen 1 is a "superphone" (8,8 and 8.1 inch display) with a good camera and nice software. It is the Chinese version of the Xiaomi XIAOMI 12 and I have bought this particular device in China.
What I can say about this phone is, it is a very solid device with a great display and fast and responsive software. On the "good" side, the display is really good and is a big plus. The camera is fine, sometimes not as good as some of its competitors, but decent.
On the "bad" side, the battery is really weak and it drains like crazy (I can even say the life is very short compared to what it should be), the display is not good enough, the speakers are not that good and the software is not as fast as the one on the Xiaomi XIAOMI 12.

What I noticed about the performance is, the phone is really fast and has really great performance in general, especially when you use it for watching movies and for any other task which uses much more power than other phones. The only issue I found was that some tasks that do not require too much power, like web browsing, are not really fast. But I would say this is a hardware problem.
So what I did is I made a stress test with some other competitors, which is the most important thing to measure the actual performance of a phone and its components. I used three phones, which are the ZTE Axon 7 Max (a "budget" phone with high-quality hardware), the Lenovo A5000 (a mid-range phone with strong hardware), and the Xiaomi XIAOMI 12 Pro (a high-end phone with weak hardware).
